Note: As much as I would like to take full credit for this picture, I can't really. ): It came from an exercise I was doing where I pretty much traced a basic skeleton of a person, then turned off the image and tried to draw the body myself. Every once in a while I'd toggle the reference back on to see if I messed anything up. I mostly drew the guy's body by myself with only the skeleton for a reference, but I basically traced the clothes since I had much less experience with complex clothing folds than basic anatomy (which is what I'm trying to focus on studying)
No need to fret, it's great that you chose to do it from a reference, and the fact that you sited makes it okay.
I think you did a great job, I saw the initial sketch, good job taichou. In terms of not copying directly, but trying to recapture by looking.
