Note: As much as I would like to take full credit for this picture, I can't really. ): It came from an exercise I was doing where I pretty much traced a basic skeleton of a person, then turned off the image and tried to draw the body myself. Every once in a while I'd toggle the reference back on to see if I messed anything up. I mostly drew the guy's body by myself with only the skeleton for a reference, but I basically traced the clothes :( since I had much less experience with complex clothing folds than basic anatomy (which is what I'm trying to focus on studying)

I should also mention that I looked at [link] by :iconaquafeles: for inspiration on the clouds :D Her art is so pro.

Anyway...

I was drawing a background and then it looked like he was surfing on some clouds, so I worked on that.

I wish the clouds looked a little better :( I also wish I could color better.

No need to fret, it's great that you chose to do it from a reference, and the fact that you sited makes it okay.

I think you did a great job, I saw the initial sketch, good job taichou. In terms of not copying directly, but trying to recapture by looking. It's an important skill to pick up things with your eyes, and then remake them with your hands. Hand Eye captain.

I think the sky is pretty amazing, considering you haven't done alot.
